Wett Ones Easter Fund Raising Party. Sunday 8th April

The next major event on the Wett Ones social calender is our Easter Fund Raising Party to be held the the beach side mansion of Kev Ryan on Sunday the 8th April.

It will be the usual glam glam affair with a beach theme.

Cost is $15 per head which includes a cocktail upon arrival and food. Drinks will be at normal Wett Ones prices and all proceeds will go to the club.

We will also be raffeling off a massage throughout the day.

Farewell for Wett Ones Founder Bob McInnes

As many of you are aware, the founder of Wett Ones, and in more recent times, the convener of the popular summer Saturday swims at the Boy Charlton Pool, Bob McInness, is moving to the UK.

A brunch has been organised to give us a chance to catch up with him and to say goodbye.

Gordy and Anthony's Birthday Party Friday 13th April 2007

Gordy and Anthony invite you to biggest event to hit

in a very long time.
A Joint Birthday celebration in honour of all things Aries
Anthony is April the 12th and Gordy the 14th so we are holding a joint Birthday Drinks event right in the middle of our birthdays.
Just bring yourself and friends/ partners we aren't booking an area or anything we will be just drinking in the bar area downstairs.

Mardi Gras Fair Day Drag Relay. Victoria Park Pool

As you may have seen from some of the photos doing the rounds, we had a very successful day at Victoria Park pool. The relay was an absolute hoot with a total of 12 teams battling it out for the inaugural drag swim relay. One of the Wett Ones teams scraped in to the final where the dress changing abilities obviously improved enough to give Wett Ones a win!

As expected the dresses, slowed all the really fast swimmers down and became a dress changing ability race as opposed to a swimming race.

Team Sydney are already talking about holding the race annually and having an Esther Williams Perpetual Trophy. All too exciting!

A HUGE thank you to our timekeepers for the day - Ben (Chris Healey's partner), Jo McGuiness, Adrian Lim and Lee from Team Sydney.

I would also like to thank all the Wett Ones that participated on the day. Everyone was fantastic and it was a really great turn out. I think we all looked fabulous and showed the community what a friendly, inclusive club we are.

As promised a t-shirt is coming your way. I will be bringing t shirts to training over the next week to training.
